You know how when you’re a multi-millionaire you hire people to help maintain your public image? Well, we definitely think it’s time for Justin Bieber to search for a new team.
An over-sized Rangers hoodie and ripped stone-washed jeans weren’t the only things Bieber wore to the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Sunday night.
His signature dirty-blonde hair was also fashioned into dreadlocks.

Although the pop-star had shared a few photos of himself with his new hairstyle a few days ago, it wasn't until his appearance and performance at Sunday's award ceremony that fans really started getting heated. We don’t know if anyone close to Justin failed to bring up the argument of culture appropriation when he first chose to get this new hairdo, but now, the internet has taken it upon themselves to do the job for him. And people are taking him to task.
so when do we start dragging Justin Bieber for dreads.... ANYONE??? or are y'all gonna stay quiet bc y'all "love" him

One interet user, however, did point out a surprising double standard fellow young popstar Zendaya faced when she donned dreads — a double standard that is even more ridiculous when you realize dreadlocks are a reflection of her own culture.
Zendaya gets dreadlocks gets told she looks smelly & homeless but Justin Bieber gets dreads and gets told he's hot. Hmm.

This isn't the first time JB has been caught up in a controvery like this. He defended his friend and social media superstar Kylie Jenner, who has been accused frequently of appropriating things from different cultures.

It's safe to say that Justin probably doesn't think he did anything wrong. Still, one question remains: did he though?
Do you think JB is guilty of cultural appropriation? Let us know in the comments section and on Twitter!
